Each year, the spirit program has a goal to raise nearly $40,000 to cover complete operating costs of the spirit program. The majority of the amount goes towards the purchases of uniforms, practice wear, proper gear, shoes, mats, practice space, tumbling facilities, pom poms, bags, warmups, and meals/snacks on game day. This amount also aides the program with opportunity to attend summer camp and compete at the NCA Collegiate National Championships in Daytona Beach, FL. This would include: airfare, hotels, meals, choreography, music, and competition/registration fees.
Appearances, camps, and clinics are the programs primary fundraisers. All donated fees are tax deductible and are greatly appreciated. Please use the rates below to estimate your donation amount.
Private Party/For-Profit Organization:
$125/cheerleaders/hour (4-6 members)
$125/Rowdy/hour -Mascot appearances require a break due to heat in the suit. Rowdy will require a changing area.
Non-Profit Organizations, Schools, and UTSA Downtown Campus:
$100/cheerleaders/hour (4-6 members)
$100/Rowdy/hour-Mascot appearances require a break due to heat in the suit. Rowdy will require a changing area.
UTSA Main Campus Organizations:
$75/cheerleaders/hour (4-6 members)
$75/Rowdy/hour-Mascot appearances require a break due to heat in the suit.
There is an additional $25 per hour for more than six (6) Spirit Squad members. There is no additional cost for travel as long as the event is within 15 miles of campus, after which a rate of $0.50/additional mile roundtrip is requested. Rowdy/Cheerleaders typically does not travel outside of the city
limits for appearances.
The UTSA Spirit Squad is comprised of the cheerleaders and Rowdy the Roadrunner. All Appearance Requests must be made at least 14 days in advance of event date.
UTSA Spirit Program has the right to deny any appearance request. Please note we cannot accept every appearance request. You will receive response approximately ONE week prior to event date. Please note, during summer and winter breaks, responses are delayed.
Please note that these are college students with busy schedules. We unfortunately cannot accept every request. Appearances are reviewed once a week with the squads.
